Each point is an author or collection. Lines are recorded citations; larger points have higher PageRank. Horizontal position follows time. Vertical spacing is arranged for readability; proximity does not imply agreement. The overview starts with the 60 authors cited by the most other authors. The complete index remains searchable.
Point colors identify historical periods. In an author’s map, ochre lines lead to sources and green lines to citing authors; the labels and positions show the same direction. Some dates are estimated for placement. Shelf filters include connected authors outside that shelf. Selecting an author shows up to eight sources on the left and eight citing authors on the right. The panel lists all available relationships.
